Welcome test subje- I mean students

Post by Professor Corpse on Tue Jul 22, 2014 4:41 am

Hello, my name is Professor Al A. Simmons, Head Teacher of Hamon Gold, but my fellow staff members call me(fixes position of glasses)... Professor Corpse, due to my various unusual experiments. At the Hamon Gold Dormitory, you will learn about the mechanics of dueling and rulings. Be careful not to wander too far from the Hamon Gold dorm, you don't know what(or who) will find you when you aren't aware....

Here are a few tips

Post by Professor Corpse on Tue Jul 22, 2014 4:43 pm

Make sure to know the simple mechanics and basics, like spell speed. Spell Speed is the time you can activate the certain Spell OR Trap. A regular Spell has a speed of 1, a Trap and Quickplay Spell (remember, Quickplays can be set and become Traps basically BUT CANNOT be played from your hand during your opponents turn) have a speed of 2, while a Counter Trap has a speed of 3 and cannot be chained with anything else unless it is another Counter Trap. Monster Effects are all over the place when it comes to timing, Herald of Perfection is the example of the perfect stall monster, its effect allows you to negate and destroy a spell, trap, and monster effect, and the effect is chainable but at the cost of a fairy discarded from hand each time a card is negated. It also helps to have Archlord Krystia(prevents special summoning, summon it after you summon Herald) and Royal Decree(negates all traps on field) at each of his sides to establish a total lockdown.

H-hello, Professor! I'm hoping that I can duel my fellow Hamon-Gold classmates frequently! I'm sure I can show my potential very well while still being a kind and respectful duelist! I strive to well-represent our Dorm!
