1.) I want to be a tester because I think that, by what people have told me, there are very little testers on lately, and I think I would be suited for one. Honestly, is 1-2 really good?
2.) I think I am suitable because I am (if I do say so myself) a good Yu-Gi-Oh! player, I have good judgement and I can see a person's skill easily. I know how to build a deck, how to judge others' decks as well as what cards are necessary and unnecessary, and all around fit the criteria of a tester.
3.) i'll be on every day, just not before 3 o clock pm EST, and some days I may be on longer than others and shorter than others, but all around around at least 4 hours a day.
4.) The Role of a Tester is to be able to (self-explanitory) test the new members, as well as re-test old members to see which dorm they fit in, if they gain skill or perhaps lose skill, and to judge the way they deckbuild, duel, and use the Twilight Guide along with them.
5.)
Decks not allowed: the decks that aren't allowed for both the Tester and the Student to use while in the duel
Testers Obligations: the tester must follow these rules, they must take note of when the Student makes a mistake, and help them out if that mistake comes. If someone tries to use two "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner"s to summon a Blackship of Corn, you'd point that out, and tell them they can't do that.
MATCH:
Match Results: The total score they have, out of 100.
Win/Loss Ratio: The amount of wins that the Student has, and in the order. 0-2 means they didn't win any and the Tester won the first two games, 1-2 means they won the first duel, but the Tester won the second two, or the Tester won the first game and the Student won the second and the Tester won the third. 2-1 means the same as 1-2, except that instead of the Tester winning two duels the Student won two and the Tester only won 1. 2-0 means the Student won both duels from the start, and the Tester didn't win any.
Aptitude: The amount of skill the person has, how awesome they are at dueling in general, wether they need work or if they are just badass (but everyone needs at least a little work no one's perfect)
Deck Consistancy: How good the deck runs, the way it flows. If you pull off a massive combo and get every card neccesary out first turn, and never have a bad hand you're deck has good consistancy. If you rely on one card and you have no way of getting into it, you know that's not really consistant. But even the deck cards alone show consistancy, if the Student has a bad hand that doesn't go toward its consistancy, you need to check each card and see how well it would normally flow in an "ideal" hand.
Rulings: How much you know about the rules of Yu-Gi-Oh! and the cards, you know that nothing can be chained to counter traps except other counter traps, you know what are trigger effects, what effects are activated, and stuff like that. Even simple stuff like remembering not to draw for 2 turns if you use Reckless Greed or remembering to Mill with Lightsworns go in this catigory.
Behavior: How good the Student has acted, their profanity and stuff like that. If they were an angel and didn't say anything wrong and accepted defeat pretty good, they'd get a higher score than someone who is swearing every time you play a good card, and rages out when he/she knows they're defeated.
Awareness: This goes similar to what I was getting at with Rulings, they remember to Mill and remember to not draw with R.G, and they also know when the Tester him/herself has made a misplay, if they forgot to mill or something like that. They know when they misplayed and they know when you misplay.
Side Deck: Do they have a side deck, how much coverage to decks does it provide, how well does the siding fit with the deck.
Answers to Situation: Do they have responses? If you have a bottomless and a D Prison in your deck, good. If you're going full traptrix backrow for days, a LOT better.
Siding: Did you side? If you did, did you side well? Did you put in that light-imprisoning mirror while facing that LS deck? Did you put in that shadow-imprisoning mirror for Shaddols and stuffs?
Resonse: Did you USE that bottomless when I summoned my winning card? Do you know when or when not to use cards that require responses? Did you MST when i have one card face down, all of these go under the Response collumn.
Every misplay will subtract 5 points from the score, so it is up to the Tester to record those.
SINGLE:
Single Results: total score (out of 100) that the Student got, based on the below criterea.
If Recruit Wins Single: Simple, did they win or not?
Aptitude: How well they preformed, their skill level and all of that said above.
Deck Consistency: Again, all that was stated above
Rulings, Responses, Behavior, Awareness, and Answers to Situation: all the same
Overall Performance: How well did they do all-in-all? If the Student did no damage to the tester, and lost within 3 turns the overall performance wasn't good. Overall performance is a mix of every catigory in the duel, very similar to Aptitude.
Misplays subtract 5 points, so it is up to the Tester to record them
If the Student uses the same deck as they did during the match, they lose 5 points.
Each of the Dorms relate to the score, and depending on said score that desides what dorm they go into.
