CHAPTER 3: BURNING SENSATION IN THE HEART 1

The sound of a gunshot echoed through the forest as birds fled from their resting canopy beds. In the dead center of the dark forest the moon shone down shimmering off the red blood from the dead animal and the trail leading straight to a deeper shade of red hair… through the darkness a bright green almost emerald like eye shone through. As if painted by the blood of animals, this persons lips curled ever so gently into a sinister smile. Walking like a she wolf the silhouette in the dark practically strutted her way in victory to her prey… The predator in red, the one that never misses. Or more formerly known as Verin Soulheart. Born into a family of assassins this she wolf was a trained death machine, only used for hire and at a high price. So involved in her work she had lost an eye early on and traded it for a robot replica which has its own little kinks. The gears in her eye were silent as ever and usually hid under the protection of her eye patch. In that moment the side of her robot eye blinked and let of a tiny beep. Raising a thin brow the ginger haired mercenary pressed her finger to the side of her head as she projected an image of an older man with pale eyes and a bald head his name Rodger, or more commonly her father and agent. “Verin.” The deep man voice had spoken. “You have bee requested for business I am sending the address and information over now.” Nodding the image soon disappeared and her green eye focused down to her catch of the day or early morning. At the moment the information transferred over and her ruby red lips curled into a smile, “I guess I am bringing home the bacon.” With that instant the ginger pressed a button on her hip and a duel runner peeled shredding through the forest stopping right next to her. The bike was gorgeous as if created just for her in fact it was. Bright red to match, old style but completely up to date with equipment, and you better believe it had sick gadgets. Throwing one long leg over it the animal on the back of her bike in a sack. Revving the engine, the girl pressed a button right above the throttle scanning her into her bright red latex tight suite with a belt of utilities on the hip. It carried a UZI and a red whip with a few packets all needed for her line of work. Bright red heels with hidden surprise inside, and fingerless gloves to match. Within a blink of an eye the ginger was gone like a flash of lightning and a roar of thunder bright red hair whipping behind her as her green eye closed and she saw through her robot one though covered it could see everything just not quite like a human eye. Zooming almost cross country the female finally arrived opening her green emerald like eye as it sparkled she swung off the bike leaving it parked, she grabbed the animal and headed forward. Her lips stayed straight she was calm though excited to see an old friend. Upon arriving she walked slowly, still in her confident stride as her hair swung the opposite of her hips not a sound she made. Her gears silent as they adjusted to scan the building seeing inside as it was the right location. Getting to the double doors the ginger goddess ran her fingers up the back of her neck finding a bobby pin in her hair and soon made her way in, promptly closing the door behind her. Within minutes and with her new gadgets she cooked the animal in less than a minute. Finishing she folded her arms under her breasts as she looked around the dusty warehouse looking thing. “Pshh filthy..” She muttered, it was apparent the owners of the home haven’t been there for quite some time. Turning and finding a comfortable couch she plopped her rump down green eye closed eye patch never even moved. Poised perfectly, Verin being a creature that thrives for such always made sure that she was just that, Perfect. And like any good Mercenary, she waited for the time to be right. For Haribaku, to come home.

Futaba pulled up at the base and waited for the armored truck behind her to pull up. A member of the Crusaders came out of the building and ran over to her. "Welcome back, Ms. Futaba" He said. Futaba looked at him and waved her hand in a dismissing manner "Cut the pleasantries. We need you to help escort this women into a cell. Guard her until I get in there, I'll interrogate her in a minute." She ordered. The man nodded and went to the truck as she got off her bike. She then heard the sound of another Duel runner and looked up. She saw Konan on his duel runner heading towards her, with the truck behind him. "What are you doing here?" She asked.

Konan took off his helmet and looked at her. "It was an order from Haribaku, there's two people in this truck that go by the names of Sincara and Aide. He wants me to bring them in and get information." He explained to her. Futaba nodded and started to walk pass him. She stopped midway, which made him raise his eyebrow "Do you need me to handle it?" She asked, still looking forward. Konan smiled "No, I got it covered." He responded. Futaba smiled and continued to walk away. This is one of the things she wanted to talk to him about the most, no matter how difficult the situation was, he never was the one to ask for help or claim he couldn't get the job done. She wanted him to call on her when ever he needed her, but she knew that he was the type of guy that wanted to handle things on his own. Eventually she was going to have to talk to him about it. "I'll see you when this is done right?" She asked. Konan nodded "Yeah, I'll come to you as soon as I'm finished with these two." He said. With that said, Futaba headed to her armored truck and he headed to his.

Tsubasa quickly escapes the sight to go change clothes. She then comes back in her clothes (in her profile pic) and escorts Sincara and Aide to their holding cells.

Namine heads to the far back of her cell, back against the wall, the only sound is the silent beeping of her transmitter in her head. Beep. Beep. Beep. "Ugh... Where's my torturer? she asks. She looks around the blank cell, water dripping from the ceiling. "Nice place.

Sentrio awakes, picking up his duel disk. He then heads to Haribaku's room, where he thinks he is, to talk to him about changing his mind about him. "Har-" he's cut off by the sight of the woman in red. "Who're you?! And where's Harubaku?" he quickly pulls out his duel disk from his shoulder and straps it to his arm.

Kaneki was as always in his room in the heartland base having his cup of coffee and wearing his eyepatch and as always silent thinking about things that happened to him in the past and how he could stop it from happening to others.
he thought to himself "hmm I heard they're interrogating some people maybe I should check them out"

Verin sat bored her long fingers caressing the braided rope of her fiery red whip a few stains of blood decorated the tip. The woman was bored and the place smelled of the animal she had just cooked. She looked over her should as she heard movement in the near hall. Her robotic eye that was completely hidden behind her eye patch, zoomed sensing human heat radiation. Her plump red lips curled up into a devilish grin. Pressing her palms on the couch she launched herself back in flip landing on her heels with a damn near silent clunk. She flipped her hair back and her bright green eye locked on the figure who entered the room. She got height weight and gender figured out before he even entered. She was no doubt skilled at what she did, though she wasn’t torturing him she needed to be careful. He was a part of the rebellion. Her whip rested in a ready position as the events of the surprised man played out. Grinning still she winked her green eye at him. “I was about to ask the same question.” She looked to him turning her body to face him. “He has business for me, and I was instructed to meet him hear.” She looked toward the duel disc. “Though I don’t need to tell you any of this.” She looked away from him and flipped over the couch plopping on it again her hand waving. “Food on the stove.”

*As Luke stepped out of the van that carried him to the base he held his stomach, still in discomfort from the intense experience from earlier, his stomach hasn't apparently settled down and the car ride only brought is nausea reemerge.* Ugh, maybe i should've walked here god *He leaned against the side of the van for a minute as his stomach settled down before looking around in a bit of confused as to what to do now.

Aide was escorted calmy out of thr armored van while Sincara was restrained carefully and forcely hurried to the jailing area of the Heartland HQ. She looked at Luke and made eye contact with him, looking away quickly as she was walked inside of the building.
"(Why does the first boy I fall in love with have to become a rebel not that long after I meet him? I hope Sincara-sensei is doing alright.) she thinks to herself.

Futaba walked through the halls as she had a job to do. She had a serious look on her face and had no intentions on failing it. She shifted her eyes to the left as she turned the corner and looked the two men guarding a door up ahead. Her movement came to a stop as soon as she came near them. "Is she in there?" She asked bluntly. The two men nodded and opened the door "She's all yours." One of the men responded. Futaba took a deep breath and walked inside. When she got inside she saw a few cells and stumbled upon one that held Namine inside. She opened the cell and closed it fiercly, making the cell door make a loud nose as it shut. She soon walked over to Namine and with an opened palm she swung her arm and tried to slap Namine hard across the face. "Tell me everything you know!" She yelled. She then reached out and tried to grab Namine's shirt with both hands "Who was you talking too and asking for back up. You better tell me now or I'm going to get mad!" She demanded. She glared at Namine and gritted her teeth "Let me tell you something before you answer. I am not the one you want to fuck with. I should beat the shit out of you, for making us chase you from one location to another. Let me tell you this, everyone in the Crusaders will tell you that I can be a dangerous "Bitch" if i want to be. Now spill it, or I'll make you regret you ever came here." She warned with a cold and dark voice as she flipped her hair and continued to glare at her. This is probably why Haribaku and Konan were slightly afraid of her.

Konan escorted Sincara to a room that had nothing but a square table and two chairs while Aide was escorted to a seperate room by crusade soldiers. Konan sat down and waited for Sincara to sit with him. He then held up his duel disk and placed down a card. In an instant A white tall and buffed wolf holding a hammer appeared. "His name is Lightsworn, Wulf. He loves to smash things, especially things that don't cooperate with me. If you don't want to catch a beat down from both him and me, I think cooperating with me will be best. Now what do you have planned, and what are you after. I want to hear everything you know, after that we can decide what's the best thing to do with you. I can offer you come coffee if needed but that's it." Konan informed him as he kept a calm and cool expression on his face.

Naminé dodges the slap and is pulled close to Futaba's screaming face. She looks her dead in the eyes as she's yelling, not flinching once. "Fist of all, let me go. Second, your breath stinks. Third, I'm not afraid of a rebel maggot such as yourself." She smirks at her remark, looking her dead in the eyes, not breaking contact. "And a personal call has nothing to do with you." She looks Futaba up and down. "You wouldn't know what that's like, I reckon, to have a male's attention."

Tsubasa follows the solders leading Aide to her cell. "I got this from here." she says. They nod at their commander and proceed to let her in the cell with Aide. "So, Aide, according to our knowledge, there's only 10 Order members. What does that make you?"

Sentrio puts up the Duel Disk and looks at the woman. "I'm Sentrio, head of the rebellion, alongside Haribaku. Who are you?" He sits across from the woman, looking her up and down, mentally analyzing her. "Hmm... So far, her weapons consist of 3 guns of pistol size and a whip... Those pockets aren't very discrete," he thinks to himself. "And she seems to have a wounded eye... Who do I know that could fit this profile?"

Verin’s mind went blank as she closed her green eye hidden behind the patch her robotic eye never closed. Her dainty fingers tapped on the couch and she bit her plump lower lip. One long leg was thrown over the other as her foot rocked back and forth. She was waiting patiently for Haribaku but wasn’t doing just nothing. Her robotic eye was actively scanning the area any threats and suspicious activity how many other heated bodies were around the are a few things were happening down stairs but that was none of her business. She was only here for the money and to do her job thoroughly. Sitting for a good portion in silence was boring though. She looked to the person by the name of Sentrio, her eye silently scanning. Her green eye locked on him. “Are you not hungry? I brought some meat if you are I know the rebellion doesn’t always get the best stuff to eat.” She smirked. Biting her lip slightly from her sassy remark to the rebellion and their living conditions she rested the side of her head on the palm of her left hand her long red finger nails slipped through her hair.

Kaneki was walking towards the room they were interrogating in and asked the guards "Futaba there?"the guards said yes and Kaneki thought to himself "Maybe I should watch Futaba never ceases to amaze me when pissed off"he then asks the guards to let him in to watch the show

*As Luke wandered through out the base, he introduced himself to random crusade grunts that he met as he wandered the halls before he ended up passing through to the jailing area. He stopped when he looked into one of the cells to see konan talking to sincara, before he saw Wulf and quietly gulped* I really hope he doesn't make that thing mad it looks like it could smash the room to pieces.....

"You have a smart mouth. It's funny how you're talking out of tone with me and you're handcuffed." Futaba growled and balled up her fist. She was about to swing and punch Namine in the face until Kaneki walked through door. She stopped and looked at him "What do you want? State your business." Futaba ordered as she glared at him. She gritted her teeth, showing that she was pissed off "It better be a good reason too." She added, still holding Namine's shirt seeing as she was handcuffed and couldn't really do anything.

Konan smiled "Well I'm glad you're not scared. It shows you got heart." He said as he leaned back in the chair. He quickly pressed a button on his duel disk and spoke "I need a cup of coffee brought to me at once." He ordered. He then put his duel disk down and looked up at him "If you're willing to cooperate, then I'm willing to treat you right." He said as he took Wulfs card off the duel disk and made him disappear. "So tell me everything you know, you can take your time and start from the beginning." Konan said.

Namine smirks at the newcomer. "Hello there. If you wold please, Miss Futaba, let me go. I don't like to be man handled. she says calmly. She then proceeds to try and break free of her grasp.

Tsubasa sits across from Aide. "Listen, I know what you've been through these pass couple of hours. I know that you won't give me information, but at least let me help you." she says, looking Aide in the eye.

Sentrio gets up and makes 2 plates of the meat and hands one of them to the lady in red. Who are you and why are you here. Haribaku isn't here now so that makes me in charge." he says, taking a bite from his food.

Verin smirked as she heard Sentrio try to boss her around. She saw him offer food but she politely declined and put her gloved hand up. She opened her red lips to speak and then stopped as she received a message via her robot part… to proceed to the interrogation hall no need to wait for Haribaku. “Well well, things just got more interesting…” She swung her long leg off and pushed up standing up her arms raised above her head stretching her long body. She looked to him. “Listen I don’t really care who is in charge, I have a job to do So if you don’t mind escorting me to the interrogation room ? Or should I find it myself?” She tilted her head cracking her neck and her knuckles. “I got other assignments I can’t do this all day…” She looked to Sentrio and rose a brow to see if he was catching on. “I am a hired Mercenary…” She turned her red hair swinging behind her as she waited for an answer she had already scanned the area and knew were to go but she didn’t want to intrude.

Aide had been dead silent the entire time, ignoring all of Tsubasa's questions and in deep thought of her plan. She looked towards the wall with the one-way mirror, using the power of the Millennium Item she had hidden under her eyepatch, the Millennium Eye, to see through both the eyepatch and the one-way mirror.
"((Gasp!!)Luke's still here, how can this work without hurting him?)" Aide thought to herself that trying her best to she any emotion infront of Tsubasa.
Aide than thinks back out Namine and Sincara's well being.

Sincara would look at konan and laugh a little "I don't know that much information I tend to stay away from the other OOTE members because they don't serve a purpose in my plans at all and those I wont be telling you cause I tend to forget time from time I have them written down somewhere in my Head Quarters in hell city if you want to send a team there to collect them they are in a hidden safe behind a picture and the code is 24-20-6 there is where you can find it and that's all I am telling you". Sincara would take the coffee when he was done speaking

Futaba growled and 'ignored' Kaneki as he didn't say anything. She looked back at Namine and held tighter "It seems you're acting tough, even when you're handcuffed. But let's see how long that last." She said as she snapped her fingers. Two girls soon walked into the room and looked at Futaba who let go of Namine and leaned towards a wall across from her. "Teach her a lesson in manners. Show her, what we do to people who don't cooperate." Futaba ordered. The two girls nodded, one walked behind Namine and began trying to put her hands on Namines shoulders, to hold her down, even though she was already handcuffed and couldn't move. The other soon started to try and punch Namine in the face multiple times.

Konan listened to Sincara and nodded "Thanks for cooperating." He said as he then held up his duel disk. "Haribaku, it's Konan, Sincara has just confessed that he has information written down somewhere in his Head Quarters, in Hell City. He said it's in a Safe Hidden behind a picture and the code is 24-20-6." He announced.

Sentrio finishes eating and stands up. "This way, ma'am." He heads towards the door and holds it open for her, trying to be a gentle man. "Does this, hired mercenary, have a name?" he asks her.

Tsubasa looks looks into her eyes, trying to get her to talk. "Can you at least tell me if you need anything...?" She looks in the direction of the one-way mirror. "Or someone...?" She smiles, having heard the chemistry of the two on the bus. "Maybe, a different boy?" She nudges her.

Naminé smirks, and takes the punishment given by the two people. "That all you got? I've dealt with worse pain by worse people!" she laughs as they relentlessly hit her in vain, seeming to enjoy herself. When they get tires, she dusts herself off and cracks her neck. "Who's next?" She barely has a bruise on her, although her clothes are a mess.
