YOU NEED A LOCATION, THAT'S A MUST
This world is an alternative version of our world(not the Yu-Gi-Oh universe) that is in a time 20 years after a cataclysmic event that scars those who witnessed it, to a point they all seem to have subconsciously blocked it out or refuse to speak of it. The world is now in a state of recovery and most countries have disappeared off the face of the earth, leaving survivors to rebuild and rename their homes. The 7 Millennium Items and 5 chosen individuals known as Signers managed to protect the nations they resided in to a certain extent. The items are now in the hands of 7 people around the world that have managed to gain possession of them before or after the event while the 5 signers either died and passed their sacred mark over to another host or simply hid their identity. Also, beings known as Duel Spirits seem to have surfaced which can be contained in cards and used for multiple purposes. Those possessing these cards have power, using them to reconstruct technology and to better life, some have even used technology to create monster Archtypes... or even using old magicks once thought lost long ago.

She was a peasant, an only child. A farmer from the edge of the country of Germany. Age of 17. She was tall. Around 6'2" and she had great working hands. She was intelligent and good at building things. Jarvinia has light black/dark blue hair and blue eyes. She always has a smile on her face, a seemingly fake smile for appearances. She's always been a good actor. When she was 12, her father died from a weak heart. A large drought that year made it so the crop wasn't plentiful. Jarvi tends to thing that was responsible for her father's death, she thinking the low crop made her father think deathly about things, depressed from not being able to provide for his family. She felt indifferent about this. Jarvinia never truly showed her emotions, she always just felt no need. Or more, she never truly felt any emotions towards anything. Of course, she showed affection and enjoyment in certain things, but otherwise she showed nothing towards her parents or the situation she lived within. One day, she wandered off the edge of her farm land, having an urge to explore the forest nearby the farm. She had wandered too far into the woods. It went late into the night because she was lost and didn't know where to go from there. It was a cold, winter night. She began shivering and found cover in a hollowed tree base. Early that morning, her mother found her laying in the woods in the cold, because she searched for her all night. She led her back to the farm and told Jarvinia to never go into the woods again by herself. To this day, Jarvi carries a box of matches with her. Her mother remarried when she was 16 and her step-father was terrible to her. He always yelled at her, scolding her for the littlest of things, not working in the field correct, even not making her bed. He occasionally hit her, hit Jarvi. Jarvi's mother seemed not to notice.
One day, when driving into the nearest town, Jarvi's mother and step-father were in a horrible car crash. On her birthday, the two of them died and she was sent into the city of Berlin to live with her aunt and uncle. She always enjoyed being with them. They were rich and always treated her kindly. She always admired a glimmering gold necklace that her aunt always wore. It was a ring with a pyramid in the centre of it. Small spikes covered the ring and there was a hole at the top. Her aunt had put a golden chain to match the color through the hole at the top and wore it as a necklace. Jarvi was unsure how they obtained it, but she knew that her aunt had it as long as she could remember. One day, there was a large commotion outside. It was late at night, around one AM in the morning. There was crashing and screaming. Jarvi's aunt and uncle awoke at the sound and ran down the stairs of their two story house. At that time, a support beam crashed down in their living room and blocked them from getting through the house. Jarvi's aunt quickly took off her necklace and threw it through a small opening to Jarvi. The next few words Jarvi's aunt mouthed to her, she would never forget. She couldn't hear what she said over the noise everywhere around her, but she could make out what she said. "That is something called the Millennium Ring. Protect it with your life and remember I always love you. We always love you. " Her uncle and aunt smiled as their house collapsed upon them. Jarvi stood in the doorway and fell to her knees, holding the item, crying. She didn't understand what was going on. Then, all of a sudden, the commotion stopped. The crashing stopped. The sounds all stopped. Everything stopped. Jarvi didn't understand what was going on. She then fell asleep, fell onto the ground. Exhausted.
She awoke the next day, thinking everything was a dream.. That is, until she saw the Millennium Ring within her hands. The Millennium Ring brought something deep inside of her upon to the surface. Something she had never felt before. Jarvinia was feeling rage and sorrow for the loss of her aunt and uncle. She wanted revenge and she would do anything within her power to make it happen. Amidst the chaos form last night, people lying dead in the streets, houses destroyed, yet no one knew what the cause of the destruction last night was. There was looting everywhere, there was fighting and attacking over food and other supplies. The city itself wasn't destroyed too much, surprisingly, even though there was a large rumbling sound the night before that sounded like it could cause the damage of an atomic bomb. Through this chaos, Jarvinia remembered that her uncle had a gun vault in the bottom of his house. She scrambled through the rubble of the house until she found the cellar in which the guns normally lay. She opened the cellar and walked down the tilted ladder into it. It was pitch black in the room, she had never been in it so she didn't know where to go. Jarvi went back up the surface and grabbed a candle, an unbroken one from last night. She lit one of her matches and ignited the candle fuse. She went back down into the cellar and saw three things in it. She saw a large rifle, with a nameplate saying "Hecate" over it and she saw a 1911, .45 caliber both hanging over the wall in the same place. She picked up the Hecate, though even for its size, it was surprisingly light. She also grabbed a holster that hung below the 1911 and strapped it around her waist. She then turned her gaze to the third object in the room. It was a glass case with a stack of what looked like playing cards to her. Jarvinia wondered why her uncle kept playing cards in a gun vault, but she walked forward to it and removed the cards from the case. She read the card on the top of the deck and it read "Red-Eyes Black Dragon". Gawking at the beauty of the card, she heard noise upstairs in the crushed house she was in. She then rushed upward from the cellar, 1911 in hand, and so began her journey.

Growing up in the newly reformed Wild West born from the ashes of armageddon, Gene was a mean and strong-willed child. At 9, his family was abducted by the Human and Duel Monster trafficking group the Wild Pack, sent to do so by angry neighbors who won their property outside of Las Vegas in a bet his grandfather foolishly accepted out of pride and lost. He was told to do whatever it took to survive by his mother and grandfather, his older brother putting him into the cellar before the Wild Pack arrived and stole them all away from him. Filled with hatred he later joined the Nevada Outlaws when he was 10 and was trained into becoming a ruthless criminal, robbing banks and trains all over Nevada, except in Las Vegas. He eventually met a boy named Haise and another kid much older than the both of them, becoming close friends. Yet suddenly, when Gene was only 15, his closest friend betrayed the band of outlaws, restraining him, Haise, and the rest of the group in the scorching deserts of Nevada to die in the elements so he could claim all the groups treasure for himself. His friend even shot Gene in both legs to make sure he didn't sneak out of the horrible situation like he always known for doing, destroying important muscles in his legs and stripping him of his ability to walk. They were saved by a tribe of Native Americans and their Duel Monsters, staying with them for 2 years to recover.
Gene's time with them changed him into a better person, protecting Native American tribes all over Nevada and eventually traveling the remnants of the United States of America on the back of a Duel Monster along with Haise given to him by the tribe to make up for his lost walking ability, Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts. Now 19 years old and having become a skilled duelist, he collects junk and whatever abandoned or rare cards that suit his needs, selling the rest of to suitable owners to make quick cash. He has managed to find a couple of Synchrons and 5 Synchro Warrior cards. With the help of Haise and Guldfaxe(which he has renamed Goldie) he braves the harsh environments and dangers despite his disability.
His goals: Find his family and stop the Wild Pack from destroying anymore lives, to settle issues and tension building up between Native American Tribes and New Americans, and try his best to bring as much peace as he possibly can back to America and to support all he cares about. He puts his life on the line doing what he does, but knowing that no else is going properly help America he doesn't care and sees it as his duty. Also, Gene still believes he has a score to settle with the Old Friend that left him and Haise to die in the Mojave Desert, hoping he could bump into him and have his revenge on him for taking his legs and making him pay for all of his evil deeds. He is currently trudging through California's Death Valley with Haise and Goldie, feeling kind of parched at the moment in 100 degree heat.

Dyshani - Death Valley, California(America) - Millennium Necklace
As a Native American girl growing up in the cruel environment of Death Valley, spiritualism has always been an important factor in her life. The daughter of the tribe Shamaness, she has always seemed to have the ability to talk to duel spirits and was eventually chosen as the handler of the tribe's most treasured yet feared possession, the Millennium Necklace. She also started to develop a strange connection with the Spirit World when she became 12, something her tribe saw as a sign of her destiny. The visions of the apocalyptic past so long ago and events to happen in the future due to the necklace haunted her dreams, her mother telling Dyshani that it's only happening to her since she hasn't fully mastered her use of it. She would than practice with the Millennium Necklace, aiding her tribe with visions of future events and stories of the past that the elders thought they would never hear ever again.
Eventually, Dyshani entered her first shamanic state as instructed by her mother, there her mind entered the Spirit World truly for the first time. She was sent to the home of the duel spirits that her tribe worshipped, the Mist Valley. Once there, they directed her to the ruins of the Crystal Beasts to ask for their assistance on her future journey. The Beast's agreed but due to Rainbow being in a dormant state of slumber in the ruins, they split their spirits a gave them to Dyshani in the form of cards. Before leaving the Crystal Beasts told her to vist the garden of the Ancient Dragon Sisters. Ancient Fairy Dragon and Ancient Pixie Dragon welcomed her with open arms, completely bonding with her since Ancient Fairy Dragon wanted to see the state the Mortal World was in and because Ancient Pixie Dragon was bored. When she awoke from her trance, a deck was in her hands containing the fractured spirits of the monsters she meet on her spiritual journey.
Now she is 16 and is venturing around Death Valley to have quality time to herself. She eventually sees two wanderers not doing so well in the heat of her home, they are
Gene and Haise.

Cyan blue waves whipped in the wind untamed even by the cruel fate of nature and the state of the world. A rather short girl stood atop a mountain born and raised in Paris France. Dressed perfect for the times that she had to face, dark brown leather pants with black combat boots. Her top was a simple white tank top with a brown leather suede jacket on top a small scarf wrapped around her neck, a small necklace disappeared in the scarf, and it was still nice and cool. Her fingers were covered in gloves for now for being on a high mountain she didn’t want to get frost bite. “V-Verin!” A younger girl shouted out ripping Verin from her thoughts. The named whipped her head around to reveal bright blue eyes that sparkled as if diamonds themselves resided in them. Seeing who it was that called her name her soft pink lips curled up into a smile. “Victoria, what’s up?” The much smaller girl who looked to be almost 10 gasped for breath as her hair cyan hair was in two pony tails and in warm clothing. “Everyone is heading back! C’mon we’ll be late for the gathering.” “Oh right!”
Verin picked up her pales of water and smiled at her sister struggling to carry water. Walking somewhat behind the group Victoria once again cut through her thoughts. “Hey sis do you think daddy will come back today?” Verin looked down “Well they did leave three days ago so yeah they should be back now…” She paused and felt Victoria bump into her and give her a knowing look. “And Gunji eh?” Verin’s cheeks brightened a bit as she averted eyes with her sister. “Y-yeah I want everyone to come home Victoria…” Her little devious sister giggled running ahead.
Reaching the corner of the town she saw a bunch of commotion raising a brow she knelt down running her fingers through her little sister’s hair. “Hey, go head home and get a shower I’ll be right there…” Victoria nodded and ran off. Verin picked up her half empty pale of water and walked further into town dropping off the water at the water distribution section. Still curious on the commotion she headed over pushing through older people and even kids. Reaching the clearing she saw “Gunji!” Her eyes widened as she saw him dripping in blood being assisted by two nurses as they carried him through town to the infirmary. She pushed people out of the way more aggressively walking towards him and looking behind them towards were the others had left. “Gunji! Gu-“ She was cut off by seeing his golden eyes stare into hers and her heart struck in pain she knew that look. Stopping dead center people paseed and shoved right past her…
She turned around looked to the outskirts of the village… ‘Was it really that bad out there? They couldn’t be the only ones in this area… there had to be others…’ Turnign around quickly she took off into a full blown sprint her long legs letting her run as she jumped over a child or two and whipped open the door of the infirmary just in time to see the nurses hang their heads and claim time of death. “Gunji…. “ She whispered and walked slowly in slamming the door a nurse looked up and saddened. “Verin I-…” Verin cut her off. “What were his last words?” The nurse looked to Verin pausing, the cyan haired girl glared at her. “WELL?” “He said an avalanche caused by bandits… no survivors…” A pause. “That’s it?” They nodded. “Very well, it looks like we have a new enemy.” The nurse followed after. “And no war leader Verin…” Verin looked to her. “Don’t you have people to attend to?”
With that the girl walked away, well out of sight she began to sprint. Heart beat heart race mind blur and soon her vision red rimmed around her diamond blues… Sitting on the mountain looking out at the world her fist on the ground teeth cringed. “This is my base, Paris France…”

Shiro Sachi - Tokyo, Japan (Asia)
Shiro was a male who had dark times in his child hood not getting friends, was beat up by the neighborhood kids, was almost killed twice, and his family, left him at the orphanage at the age of 8, he than was adopted by his foster parents they were worse like the mother of Cinderella, worse by two times, beaten and almost killed by them he than escaped and was homeless and had no one to go to he had almost died, than was taken at a local church taking him in and teaching him the ways of god and was treated kindly, though the church was destroyed by a fire and everyone in it except Shiro was killed, hurt by this Shiro was damaged for live and almost broke to the point of suicide than he decided to train and than join the army, a kind child turned into a body of ice. At the age of 17 he was a general, a duelist with great skill and cold personality, he was a cold person who never knew what it felt like to be loved and warm. At the age of 18 he was given a rare item an item that could see many things, the "Millennium Eye" an item that could do many things was given to Shiro to keep safe from anyone and to keep it a secret though something was strange about it. his country was facing problems of food shortage and crop eating locust, his country than debated if they should trade with other country's or thrive on their own

Kira was the Step brother of Shiro he loved Shiro he was a kind brother to him (no bro-kun) he was treated nicely by his parents, but saw what torture that his parents did to Shiro he than stepped up and helped his step brother, his only brother that he would get and love. One night Shiroe told him about his plan for escape Kira was against this at first but thought of what his parents would do to him if he would continue to stay there he than helped his plan of escape and was worried once he was gone.At the age of 20 he heard news of Shiro becoming a general he than got out of his home and than went out to find his beloved step brother, Kira was a skilled duelist to the point of him going to the nationals but never had time for them, he had spent his time looking for Shiro

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Noah had little to no friends to hang out with because he was albino, leaving him alone with abusive parents that would beat him whenever he did something they did not like and also because of him being considered a curse. At the age of 14 he left his home and went to go find and collect rare things that no one had ever seen before. On that night he hitched a ride to the pyramids and snuck into a tomb, stumbling upon the resting place of the Millennium Rod. It was said that it was lost and never to be found again, Noah then took the rod and headed back up to the surface not knowing that a big sandstorm was brewing up. When he reached the surface he saw that a sandstorm was about to kick up so he needed to hurry to get to the next town which wasn't far away from where he was. Noah would make it just in time but when he reached the town he would find out that no one was there, it was an old abandoned village. He then took shelter in one of the houses until the sandstorm had past. Noah looked at the rod and a flash of light would blind noah for a few seconds and when his vision was returned the evil hidden within the rod took over his body. He returned to his hometown and brutally killed his parents in cold blood for treating him so badly. At the age of 15 he got thrown in jail for the murder of his parents. At the age of 20 he was released and he went back to his hometown to see if anything had change at all, he went back to the place where he found the rod and dug around a little and found a duel disk with a deck in it. Noah grabbed it and put it on his arm and then walked out. Noah is now 22 years old and he has taken over all of Egypt as the Supreme King along with his wife Ruby the White Queen, changing it into a more advanced country with duel disks and duel arenas where everyone can duel whenever, where ever they liked. Noah is still controlled by his evil half, not being able to break free of it's evil grip on his mind to this very day.
Born and raised in Egypt, Ruby had a lot of friends by saying she was the child of Americans adopted into an Egyptian family, but was secretly an albino and hiding her red eyes under blue contacts. She had always had a crush on Noah since he was the only other person like her. When she heard he left his hometown she was worried about him every single day. She would not go play with her friends or do anything at all she would just stay in her room hoping that he will come back safe and sound. She then heard that Noah had killed his parents in cold blood for treating him so badly because he was albino. She understood his pain and did not care she still loved him. Ruby left home at the age of 13 to learn how to play duel monsters at Duel Academy Island. While there she still worried about Noah, mailing him while he was imprisoned. At the age of 18 she graduated from Duel Academy Island as its best student and went back to Egypt to see Noah. She gave him a hug and said "I was worried about you every single day of my life," Noah replied with "I'm glad you've waited on me so long and I also knew you had a crush on me even before the messages. I just wanted to wait for when it was the right time to tell you that... I love you too." She would keep holding onto him and then she started to cry, finally having someone that loved the real her. She passed out from the shock of finding her true love and Noah brought her home. Now at the age of 20 she is married to Noah, the albino man who took over Egypt known as the Supreme King and she has been by his side as his White Queen to this very day, even though she knows that the evil within him is still in control of his body.

Backstory: Sentrio Tarik was a kind, clever young man who's greatest goal as a boy was to collect all copies, or at least one of each, of all Duel Monster cards. He's collected most of the powerful ones, being both Shooting Quasar/Stardust Dragon and Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. He uses them in his psychic based deck. Albeit an average duelist, he's quite skilled with them with his psychic powers given with his Mark. He was raised in a lovely, caring home without worry. He had a wonderful life, he even had a girlfriend named Naminé. Together, they both went to college. Then, one night:
Sentrio takes Naminé out to eat at a fancy dinner restaurant. They sit down to eat and order food like an average couple would. "Hey, Naminé, I have something to ask you." Yes, Sentrio?" He gets on one knee and says, pulling out a ring, "Will you marry me?" She tears up and says "Yes! Of course!" The next month, they get married. They finish college together the next year and buy a house. On one night...
"D-do you want a family...?" She tackles him onto the bed and they prepare to start a family, when she sees his Mark. With his Psychic powers, he sees her mental repulsion and wants to leave. He then tackles her onto the floor and accidentally snaps her neck,causing her to die instantly. He hides her body and runs away, setting the house aflame to cover his tracks.
The police never find her body or Sentrio as he wanders Italy.

After watching one of his duels an old robed man gives João the Milleneum Scale, telling him he'll know what to do with it when the time comes.

Haise, just like Gene, was part of the Neveda Outlaws but only through them forcing him to be a part. They saw something in him, his skill, and thought they could use him so they threatened him, telling Haise his family's dead if he doesn't join. He and Gene survived the mutiny of their old friend but suprisingly Haise does not seek vengeance, he knew that someday that person they called friend would turn on them, but after the incident he saw something different about Gene, he has a darker side and it seems it made him stronger. Haise, secretly having cancer, is losing time, he could die any second which made him want to see how strong Gene can get before they can get to their old friend or before Haise dies of cancer ,thus has undying loyalty to Gene. Whatever Gene wants to do, Haise will be there to help him but little does Gene know that Haise's life force is ebbing.

Background: Jechet lived a life of crime his entire life since starting from the ground up in the Slovakian mafia as early as 10 years of age. His father being the head honcho at the time requested one thing from his son, saying "It's a dog eat dog world out there, only the strong can survive." These words became the inspiration leading to the fruition of his fathers wishes. While in Italy, a couple of years after the apocalyptic event destroyed his homeland, him and his father tried setting up a mafia of their own there, but where unsuccessful and his father was imprisoned. By age 20 Jechet had been convicted of multiple crimes against the country of Slovakia, his crimes being to heavy even for execution. He was sentenced to the most unfortunate punishment ,'Permeant Exile'. When Slovakian immigrants in Italy caught wind of his survival, Jechet was forced through multiple punishments for his crimes including the removing of his right eye as a mark to the country of his dishonesty and turning his own back on the pride of Slovakia. He was than exiled to New York the following year, now 21 and having plans of his own.
Taking his fathers advice he started his own crime syndicate called the 'Blue Salamanders.' The organization consisted of drug harboring, assassinations, and political espionage. By age 30 the crime syndicate had grown into power becoming New York's number 1 growing organization, essentially ruling over it. Jechet eventually brought in an apprentice by the name of Vamp, they became close friends and comrades in battle. "Truly the future was looking up for Jechet?," his apprentice would always say. A year later, Vamp betrayed Jechet, defeating him with the very form of combat he had taught his apprentice. Judo and Chi were big parts in the way combat was handled by the 'Blue Salamanders,' giving them distinction over other New York crime syndicates. Vamp had destroyed any trace of Jechet including his relations with Julia, a fellow member of the syndicate and Jechet's girlfriend. Now having his title stripped and girlfriend executed, he fled to farther west to an amazing town just outside of Las Vegas.
By age 33, Jechet met fellow comrades and saw things he wasn't aware of, the town was something out of old fashioned westerns. Jechet grew to these customs and quickly grew closer to the culture. Profit became an issue leading to Jechet turning to a life of bounty hunting, now working for the law enforcement. He plans to seek new fortune in the wild west with hopes of success and revenge on Vamp for the crimes he should have never committed. Now age 35, Jecht replaced his right eye with a synthetic metal red eye he covers with his rugged hair, giving his defining feature as a bounty hunter and the nickname'Dead Eye.' Now a skilled Duelist and gunslinger, he is a man of few words and is rarely seen around for long and typically goes for high bounties although no surprises there right?

Personality: Atlas is confident in dueling, not much else. Shy around women, as he has no prior experience with any. Determined to catch his brothers killers. Stands tall, knowing all his faults, and despite that, never gives up.
Origin: Atlas has loved dueling ever since he saw his brother duel for the first time. His brother, -his only family- Axelle, was a very skilled wandering duelist seeking to be the best. He travelled the globe, dueling in various tournaments, and being his only family, Atlas travelled with him. At age 11, Atlas was finally given a deck by his brother, who when placing the cards in his hand revealed that they were their father's cards. Destiny Heroes. When Atlas reached age 15, Axelle was murdered before he had a chance to participate in the world championship finals, dying before having a chance to achieve his dream, and leaving his little brother alone in the cold with nothing to remember him by except his famous Red Dragon cards. Traumatized by the death of his brother, Atlas set out to get justice for the last family member he had left. As time went by, He became a Detective, yet still carried on his brothers dream, wandering the world aiming to be the best. Later, he left the force and became a P.I. , to allow him to travel more often. To this day, he still carries his brothers deck, his dreams, searching for clues, looking for leads, hunting down his brothers murderers, so that when he finally does, it will be with Axelle's deck.

Biography: He was born on the eve of the cataclysm that left a scar that many thought the world wouldn't recover from. His mother died during the event and his father took care of him as best as he could. Born in the midwest, his father took him farther west, as the only family they possibly had left lived on the west coast. Their trip took months, his father having to help others along the way in order to obtain supplies to help survive the trip and normal methods of transportation became lost or scarce when the event struck. By the time his father passed into the Mojave Desert, he was around 5 years old. That's when tragedy struck once more for Trevor when him and his father were attacked by a group of desert bandits. His father fought them off with his powerful Blackwing monsters but he was heaviy outnumbered and severely injured.
Trevor and his father barely reached the remnants of Las Vegas when his father passed away from his injuries, but not before passing on both is deck and his signer power to his son. He ended up growing up in an orphanage on the outskirts of Las Vegas until he was 14, when he had to leave and fend for himself in the slowly reviving city. Taking his father's cards that he kept hidden, he decided to duel for the entertainment of others, however his skill was poor and his opponents fierce. With the loses he faced, his pay was poor and so was his living conditions, nearing his breaking point he prayed to his deceased father for help when his Signer mark glowed for the first time, his fathers deck shot out of his duel disk and proceeded to be transformed by the power of the Signs in to the fierce Raid Raptors. With this newfound strength he started to win duel after duel, his life slowly getting better. By the time he was 20 he was making a living defending supply convoys between the rebuilding cities.
On a routine route, the trade convoy he was escorting was attacked by bandits, as fate would have it, it was the remnants of the group that attacked him and his father over a decade ago. Fueled with rage and a thirst for vengence he attacked without mercy, the convoy leaving him behind as he fought the bandits off, easily defeating each one that came at him. As he was about to kill each of them off, he cursed himself, knowing his father wouldn't want him to do this, he let them flee, beaten and bloodied, as well as taking their cards away from them, hoping they wouldn't hurt anyone again. Left stranded he tried to catch up with the convoy and ended up getting lost in the Desert and ended up wandering into Death Valley. he eventually passed out on the outskirts of a tribal Native American village.
