Obviously, as you all know. I play them Yang Zings, but I wanted to share with you all a concept for the deck that I have been trying.

Yang Zing have been getting trashed pretty hard at locals and on DN... it was becoming far less fun to play the deck and I needed to find the reason why. I could go into a long detailed thing about my thoughts and stuff like that but meh, I'm tired and I don't care enough to do that. So I'll just simplify it.

In terms of Yang Zings, Continuous effects freaking blow. The floodgates are so real in this game right now and the poor deck sure gets the shaft when facing them. So to fix this I just threw in 3 Twister along with the 3 Mystical Space Typhoon and 3 Fiendish Chain along with the 3 Skill Drain.. stop allll the annoying ass continuous effects.

Then after this is achieved you COUNTER floodgate because, hell, why not. You can make Naturia Beasts, Herald of the Arc Light, make an invincible Yazi, side in Imperial Iron Walls, Mask of Restricts, Shadow-Imps... all of them.

Basically the idea.

Also I need help with ideas for the side deck.

Sidedeck Fairy Wind, Droll & Lock Bird, Non-Fusion Area, Creature Swap, Prohibition, since you special summon so much and can swap the field easily, I side ( and sometimes maindeck ) Obelisk the Tormentor in Yang Zing and Burning Abyss.

I'm sure you already know this but I'm bringing this up anyway so some don't get this confused.

You know that Yang Zings don't get their effect if you Creature Swap them, right?

But yeah, i'll for sure have to do the non-fusions or the droll. Possibly the fairy winds. Deck just runs a shit ton of face up cards.

I know they don't get their effects from Creature Swap, but please tell me how you get over an Apoqliphort Towers? Also, I suggest Breakthrough Skill over Fiendish Chain. It's much better. You can use it on multiple monsters, the Breakthrough Skill won't stay on your side of the field if they synch/Xyz/tribute the monster under it, and Breakthrough Skill ( Unlike Skill Drain and Fiendish Chain ) gets over effects that make the monsters under them leave the field. ( Kuribandit, Infernoid monsters, Merlin, Etc )

Firstly, Creature Swap doesn't get around Apoqliphort Towers, just like how it does not work on a monster that has Forbidden Lance'd.

Secondly, Breakthrough skill does not follow monsters to the Grave. If you Breakthrough Skill a Merlin and the opponent chooses to tribute to activate the effect, Merlin will resolve in the grave. Same if it were negated by Effect Veiler.


Though you make a valid point, I have no means of getting around Apoqliphort Towers. My only out to this would be to have Skill Drain up on the field first or Mask of Restrict during later games, and possibly, on the rare occasion, make a 3500 attack Beelze. I may look into other means of getting around the card, but that may also prove unnecessary for a card that is often rarely used.

Typically though, against qliphorts, if they had enough resources to make Towers, I was probably on the losing end of that duel anyways. Yang Zings either stay on top of the plays, or losses out to the tributing effects.

In terms of Fiendish Chain, I'll try taking them out for Breakthrough Skills.

LOL DIIINGLE, YOU REALLY NEED TO GET YOUR RULINGS SET STRAIGHT. FIRST OFF, EFFECT VEILER AND BREAKTHROUGH SKILL DO FOLLOW TO THE GRAVE FOR SACKING EFFECTS LOL. Second off, with the Creature Swap thing, I was merely trolling. But with the Effect Veiler thing, Effect Veiler AND Breakthrough Skill both follow to the grave. Whoever told you differently is completely wrong and insane.

Alright, then I was mislead in multiple areas. That's good to know then.

That means it will follow things like Qliphort Carrier and Helix to the Extra deck as well?

No, because those effects activate when they're off the field. Breakthrough and Veiler only follow if the monster's effect activates on the field.
