Tips for Roleplaying 1! (Mandatory Read)
Alright. I thought it wouldn't hurt to open up this topic for the sake of helping those with not the most experience in the RP or Role Playing field. These tips can help to be applied to many other things you'll be needing to do in life that involve writing. So, it doesn't hurt to at least give these a peak.
Tip #1: Length isn't always important. You don't need to push for long and amazing posts, getting to the point is something that should be prioritized. While this is a fact, it's good to keep in mind that your character is an expansion of yourself. Your mind. So, when portraying the actions of your character, don't forget to try and involve your thoughts and motions in your posts as well.
Tip #2: When typing, always remember that it will be less confusing in a format that's somewhat like a book's. For Example:
'John took his time to sitting against the floor, one by one slipping his freshly bought shoes on his feet ready to begin his day a new, his lips releasing a soft inhale and exhale, giving himself a nice speech "Today is new day. Make it last." with his statement, John pushed off to begin his day. '
This isn't exact or perfect, just a minor example. It clears up confusion by using proper separation of words and actions in Role Play.
Tip #3: Never be afraid to try and push for something original. Look for the nearest and clearest thing you can make and try and make it your own! There is always some kind of loophole in RPs that'll let you take some kind of force of relevance. So, never feel like you're irrelevant in the story. Instead, read around at the stories and the characters and try and find some way to ease your transition into the story.
